Easy Make-Ahead Breakfast: Overnight Oats Edition
As much as I try to enjoy a slow breakfast, sometimes we just need something quick to honor our hunger and keep it simple. This is my go to combo for overnight oats: breakfast on-the-go!
Oats + Milk + Yogurt = the BEST overnight oats
Serves 1
Ingredients
- ½ cup rolled oats
- ½ cup milk of choice
- ⅓ cup yogurt of choice (I used Siggi’s with a touch of honey)
- 1 tablespoon chia seeds
- ½ banana, sliced or mashed
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon shredded coconuts
- A handful of cashews
Instructions
- Combine ingredients in a glass jar or tupperware container. Mix together. Secure lid and refrigerate overnight. Enjoy the next morning, directly from the jar for a quick breakfast!
Notes
You can easily change up the toppings in this recipe. Sub cashews for 1-2 tablespoons of your favorite nut butter! Add fresh or frozen blueberries. I like to make 2 servings of this recipe at once to have breakfast set for 2 days! Keeps for 2-3 days in the refrigerator.
