Greek yogurt and berries on toast is a thing. If you like the classic peanut butter and banana toast, why not try this spin on toast? 

I first got the idea for yogurt on toast after following the #toasttuesday hashtag on Instagram. These food photos highlight various ways to change up your toast game! We put cream cheese on bagels, why not try yogurt on toast? 

Greek Yogurt and Berry Toast

Nutrition Breakdown (Carbs + Dairy + Fruit) 

I love this breakdown of toast (complex carbohydrate) + Greek yogurt (protein) + berries (additional fiber) for a complete nutritious meal! It also delivers 3 of the 5 food groups in just one meal.

Bread: I used a 10-grain bread from a local bakery in Ohio. Feel free to use your favorite bread, whether that be Sourdough or whole-wheat bread. 

Yogurt: There are so many different varieties of yogurt, and you can select whatever suits your preference. I like Siggi’s yogurt, which has more protein than sugar. If you’re lactose intolerant, there are plenty of dairy-free options available. Some of my favorites include Lavva and Siggi’s plant-based yogurt. 

Fruit: For additional fiber and antioxidants, pile on the berries! You could also try cherries, banana, or dried fruit. You get the idea! 

Add ons: I used chia seeds in this recipe combination, but you could also try hemp seeds or flaxseeds. These are an extra nutritional boost of fiber and protein, but not necessary. You can still enjoy your Greek Yogurt & Berry Toast without these add-ons.

Greek Yogurt and Berry Toast 


  • 2 slices of toast
  • ¼ cup Greek Yogurt 
  • ½ cup fresh berries 
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 1 tablespoon honey


  1. Spread Greek Yogurt evenly on the 2 slices of toast. Sprinkle with berries and chia seeds. Drizzle honey on top for additional sweetness.
