7 Trader Joe's Staples

7 Trader Joe’s Staples from a Registered Dietitian

Want a peek inside my fridge, pantry, and freezer? I’m opening the doors to reveal my favorite Trader Joe’s staples that I can’t live without. As a Registered Dietitian, I understand that my clients want convenience items that don’t sacrifice nutrition or flavor. Message received! Here’s a list of 7 Trader Joe’s Staples from a Registered Dietitian.

Trader Joe's Staples

1. Green Goddess Dressing

We made a spinach salad the other night with blueberries, hemp seeds, red onion, feta and this dressing. It was assembled and tossed in 5 minutes! Talk about an easy way to add greens to your meal.

2. Cauliflower Gnocchi

In the Trader Joe’s freezer section, you’ll find the Cauliflower Gnocchi. In my opinion, it’s worth the hype! Serve with their Vegan Kale Cashew Basil Pesto and sundried tomatoes. If desired, add their Sweet Italian Chicken Sausage for protein. BOOM – dinner is served.

3. Multiseed with Tamari Crackers & Unexpected Cheddar Cheese

Cravings LOVE this combo. These are my favorite items for a quick snack as I’m making dinner or to add to a charcuterie board. Try it and let me know if you love it, too!

4. Frozen Mango Chunks

I always keep my freezer stocked with frozen fruit for smoothies. These frozen mango chunks are delicious in the Morning Glow Smoothie Bowl and Everglow Green Citrus Smoothie. I find that I typically rotate through the same fruits (apples, bananas, blueberries), so this is a fun way to add variety to my fruit intake.

5. Everything But The Bagel Seasoning

Another item worth the hype! This is my favorite seasoning for jazzing up avocado toast and Nourish Bowls. Do yourself a favor and add this to your spice cabinet to turn up the flavor.

6. Fully Cooked Falafel

One of my clients introduced me to this vegetarian-friendly item! Serve it with quinoa or whole-wheat pita and top with cucumbers, tomatoes, hummus, and black olives. It’s a great option for lunch or dinner in a pinch.

7. Sriracha Baked Tofu

Another great plant-based protein option is the Sriracha Baked Tofu. Stir fry with your favorite veggies, fresh or frozen, and serve over brown rice for a complete meal. This makes a satisfying Nourish Bowl combo, too!
